I am wondering if there is something that would make "surfing" the net a bit quicker.
I have IE #7 and ever since I put this on my system, it takes forever to load a webpage.

I could go back to IE#6, but before I uninstall I thought I would see what other options I have.

What do other folks use for their internet surfing?

www.getfirefox.com

Done.

Although, there are two "extensions" I recommend for it.

The first is AdBlock:
https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/10/

The second is the AdBlock filterset that automatically "Blacklists" lots of known ad servers:
https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1136/

Faster, better, more stable.

I have IE 6 as my main, Firefox as my secondary, because it can do thing ie6 can't. I have heard great things about the Opera browser, as it uses almost no computer recources. I will never downgrade to IE7, the tabs thing just drives me crazy!

Thank you. I will go look at it right now.

Ad-Aware is an excellent program that can detect and eliminate spyware from your computer.

Adblock (with the Filterset) is a small "plugin" that automatically blocks the vast majority of advertising on web sites. Banner ads, flash ads, popup ads, etc etc, all get blocked. It also blocks "Tracking cookies" from advertisers which are files placed on your computer by advertising networks such as Doubleclick that follow you around the internet and report back to the advertising network, informing you of the websites you visit.

So far, so good.

It is definitely quicker than using IE. The way IE was acting it was slower than when I was on dial up.

You are the man!

I have been using firefox for a few years now and love it. I just installed the plug-ins you recommended and could not be more pleased with the result.
It makes this site bearable again. Cheers.

IE7 did suck!! We uninstalled it and put 6 back on. I had no idea that other people hated it as much as I did.

Cheers,

I love Firefox, and for the record, I haven't run into a webpage that it cannot display in almost 2 years.
