mechanic rant

#1 Unread post by Gnarlyroad »

I had hoped to post some pics of my 650 nighthawk all put together with new paint etc.. Got it started up and gas was gushing out everywhere from my carbs. The rant... just had my carbs rebuilt with new carb kit. Paid a lot of bucks. Overpaid as far as I am concerned. Cost less to get my tranny rebuilt than it did to get the carbs done. Then this. The shop has them now says an o-ring is not sealing properly. When they had it in the shop why didn't they check it then. If they charge me more money I think I'll scream :frusty: :x

If they try to charge you more you should tell them where to stick it.

New paint + Gushing Gasoline = Bad

Mechanic overcharging + Wanting more for an O-Ring = Worse.

You gushing gasoline all over those mechanics = fun for at least a couple of minutes

They shouldn't charge your more money because you paid to have your carbs fixed, not to gush gasoline. They have to redo it right. Are you taking it to the dealer, or some run-of-the-mill shop?

I am taking it to a fairly reputable shop. In fact in other posts I have raved a bit about how well the service dept. and the mechanics have treated me. So I hope they continue to do so.
