Today I went for a ride. A group ride. A long ride. I was very fatigued by the time I got home but it was a good day.
I only needed 3 Motrin's (400mg each) today. I probably would have been better off with a 4th, but I decided to put up with the aches once I got home.
It was sunny most of the day. My heated gloves kept my hands warm....when I remembered to plug them in that is.
My stamina is getting better, but I still hurt. My right hand is not so great since the fall I had in January. I am going to try to figure out a way to keep the throttle wound up without having to put any pressure on my thumb joint.
Aside from the first gear problems that the bike still has, it ran very well. It...or should I say I....managed the twisties quite well today.
One of these days soon my new theme song will be something that Aerosmith sang.

I invited a friend over, cooked dinner for the both of us, and entertained... That's the first time I've ever done it... lol Kinda awkward when it's just the two of you and your kitchen is a straight shot and 5 feet from your living room...
Ah well, we had fun!

My place doesn't sound much bigger and I entertain friends often. You'll get used to it.
But I like my trailer! The Ultimate Bachelor Pad!

Today i helped a buddy get his bike back from the shop.
The reason his bike was in the shop was about 3 months ago, jordan (my buddy) was on his DR650 going down the turnpike, as he was going through an intersection, a driver with a suspended license, ran the redlight and clipped Jordan.
Jordan was found wrapped around the bike and his head hit a firehydrant.
He survived the crash, with 2 breaks in his right leg, a fracture in his left leg. He suffered from the breaks and a concussion. He says he cant remember a thing from the crash. So his bike wasn't totalled and it was fixable. The dude with the suspended license was forced to pay for everything..
This is what the bike looked like when we picked it up.
They replaced engine gaurds and some other stuff around there.
They fixed the frame, replaced handlebars with aftermarker moose bars.
The headlight & headlight cover thingy was replaced.
The tank still has a gash in it on the other side, but not too bad.
Jordan says it's a HUGE relief to get to ride again!

I had a good day! Synced the carbs on a friend's ZZR600, then went out for a short ride!!!!! My first ride on two wheels powered by a motor since either August or September of last year. Granted it was a stunted out CBR600 F4, but still, I had fun! Although just to let you know, if you have a 600cc sportbike and you go -2/+8 it will have torque EVERYWHERE in the powerband... lol So yeah, twas a good day, now to awaken at 8 AM tomorrow morning to sell the old Hurricane.

Oops! lol But yeah, fun ride, and now I'm SURE I'll kill myself on a literbike. FZ6 here I come!

Went for a ride around back roads in Hunterdon county (2 counties north of here), including a couple dirt roads. V-strom takes the dirt roads very well. Did 124 miles - just got back. Beautiful spring afternoon in central Jersey.
