WTF I had 65% of the console ripped apart upto the heater core part and they couldnt find a problem? Hello losing 1 full reseviour of fluid in a week and a half there has to be a problem somewhere. I just hope its not a head gasket cause I dont have the tools to properly do one of those and I dont want to spend $1700 to have it done grrrr. I think if its the head gasket its time to trade this thing in for something "new".
Could it be somethng as simple as a hose or clamp?
cept there are NO leaks anywhere that I can find. I am going to replace the heater core myself for $77 compared to the almost $500 they charge at the stealer.

I voted.
Went to the SS office so my wife could get a paper she needed.
Just got through watching my son shoot his bb gun.
Now I gotta think about what to do for dinner. Bleh, I hate cooking sometimes.

I had a meeting with my employer, my union rep....we are trying to find a solution for moving into a non physically demanding job.

At this point we are approaching the duty to accomodate due to disability...I can't go back to my old job.....but this moving into the office looks like I lose almost 13 years of seniority.....that is our stumbling block for the moment.

On the way home from work stopped at the Triumph dealer and checked out the '09 50th anniversary Bonneville. Pretty paint job, kind of understated... otherwise a standard Bonneville T100. Problem is, pretty bikes don't stay pretty after I get hold of them, so the quality is kinda lost on me... Triumph did a great job making a fuel injected bike look carbureted - I was doubtful when first heard about it, but it looks very natural. You really have to look close before you realize the "carburetors" aren't carburetors.

Sat on a few bikes just for grins (I'm not bike shopping, no need and no $$$): Tiger 1050 (feels very much like a Vstrom), DRZ400S (tall!!!), Adventure 990 (feels normal sized after the DRZ), Concours 14 (fat top-heavy pig... like a Trophy). Came home, worked out, ate dinner, now wasting time on the internet...

Today my sister and I went on a road trip to Wetmore KS, which is about 45 miles north of Topeka, to look at a parts bike. I also picked up two XS750 motors. We took the back roads instead of the interstate, which was nice, and had lunch at a small town diner in Effingham KS.

Woohoo! Sorry I'm not smiling, guy taking the picture was French Canadian (thick accent) and kind of a jack-o-ring... Guess it comes from being int he nice cool and going to a 90 degree day!

And don't worry, that wasn't the one I actually rode... I wore a helmet and all. That was one they had set up specifically for taking pictures on and doing a demo on.
