I don't know how many locations in Canada, or even the world, where you'd find two roads like these. Two, two way roads, side by side, separated by a narrow strip of grass and some telephone poles.
So, what's so unique about this picture? Well, as blues2cruise and ceemes will attest to, this road is Zero Ave. it extends from the Peace Arch crossing in Surrey BC, to Abbotsford BC approximately 30kms along the Canada-US border. Yes, that narrow strip of grass is the border between Canada and the USA, the bike is in Canada and the other road is in the US. You'll note, no fence, no guards or watch towers, there are hidden cameras and sensors along the right of way, but none that you'd notice. A little further down this road on the US side is a bar called the Smugglers Inn, a 2 foot high post and chain fence is all that keeps us Canadians from parking and going in for a drink.
Any "Unique" roads in your part of the world...
