My Squirrel Trap is working too good.

Ever diligent, the two squirrels watch for other squirrels to fall for the trap to have a laugh.

Yes, this is our Texas sized squirrel trap as the little (cute) critters are getting into the attic and rather than shoot them on sight I figured I would set a trap for them to relocated them 5 miles away... Unfortunately, it seems to be more of a source of Jerry Springer Squirrel TV entertainment than a trap.

I still crack up when I see that picture! It reminds of the scene I witnessed only yesterday with my own two eyes... two cute squirrels cuddling on a boulder RIGHT IN FRONT of the dammmmnnn trap!!!!!!! They best be careful or they will be leaving our house the "other" way...

I'll bring the pellet gun.

I hear the pros use peanut butter to lure squirrels out of the attic; they absolutely love that stuff.

Good news, we trapped a squirrel today in our trap! Quite a surprise as I didn't bait it with anything different (still had what was in it from a couple days ago). So I walked him down (about 40 min walk) to the Bayou and let him go (well, I'm assuming it was a him, I didn't check). I even gave him a few peanuts before we left so at least he had a full belly.... hopefully he won't come back though.

The peanuts did work, but PB wasn't eatin though. I am also trying crackers as I heard they work as well... Thankfully the trap did finally work (once) as I did buy poison but haven't used it.

Trap is out again tonight.
