Mirror adapters

Any suggestion abouit how to use the cruiser metric mirror adapters? Guess I'm a moron but I don't see how they fit.

If its the kind with a threaded male and female end, you just screw the male part of the adapter into the mirror mount, then put the mirror into the female end of the adapter.
