Anyone know the approximate (average) running temperature of the exhaust https://bestarny.com/performance-exhaus ... -davidson/ pipes and/or heat shields? I would like to powder coat the shields, the paint shop says they will easily hold up to 400 degress F as they bake it at that temp.

I read that exhaust gas temperatures can be in excess of 1000 degrees C, but are typically about 800 degrees C.

Ask the shop if they recommend their product for that application. If not, they should have some alternative for your project.

The Rustoelum High Heat paint rated at 2000 deg F is a good product.
