Oil Leaking

#1 Unread post by hyzhenry »

Recently I changed the oil out on my Suzuki DR 200, let it drain for a few hours and replaced the filter and everything that comes with that. Unfortunately now there is oil leaking from the oil cap, I changed out the O ring on the cap hoping it would fix the issue but then I took it for a ride to see and there is still a very slight amount of oil coming from the cap. I MIGHT have very slightly overfilled it however, it is at the top of the two lines on the dip stick, the cap appears to be in good condition. The oil doesn't leak enough to run down the engine and hit the ground. There is a small residual amount sitting around the oil cap or pooled up at the edge. Can anyone offer any insight as to what might be causing this? Is it something to be concerned about?

Heat of operation makes the oil expand to over flow?
