1984 Nighthawk 650 - Shifting Problems

#1 Unread post by Notamuised »

Shifting is super difficult. I've changed the oil, installed new clutch lever but it seems the shift lever is tough and changing gears is really difficult. I have the most problems going from 3rd to 4th and it seems to be okay once the bike is warmed up. Any ideas?

What kind of oil did you use?

Why did you change the clutch lever?

Take the clutch cable off the bike. Does the cable move freely in the housing?
People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.
