Hello
I have a 1998 Suzuki Intruder GPL1400 that i am having issues with the clutch.
I had my brother replace the clutch plates on the bike after i left them soaking all night.
Now every time I put the bike in gear it wants to go, Even when i have the clutch handle fully in!
I have bled the clutch a million times to make sure there is no air pockets but it still does it.
My only thought is that the eight bolts (all brand new) on the outer clutch plate are too tight... Is this a safe assumption? do they have a tork spec? or how many times they need to be threaded in?
I really want to finish off my riding season before the fluffy white crap hits the ground.

You're just guessing. (as I would be)
If your brother did the job, maybe he should make it work right? That's what you'd do if you'd paid to have it worked on.
There might be a mechanical adjustment in addition to the hydraulic that wasn't done right.
Service Manual is ALWAYS a good idea.

Thank you for your reply.
Yes he should be the one to fix it but he went back to the navy for a couple months.
The problem i am facing is that I dont know how those bolts were set. every mechanic shop tells me that they either dont know or i have to buy the service manual for $100. I personally dont have that cash

Hello Daniel and welcome to the forum. I'm pretty sure there are no members with an Intruder. If you Google -Suzuki Intruder 1400 forum- you get a dozen pages. Good luck.
People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.
