2008 Kawasaki 1500 classic won't engage gear

My 2008 Kawasaki 1500 classic was running just fine and I passed a car in fourth but tried into fifth then had a complete loss of power. Not bad sounds or grinding. Engine runs fine but gear isn't engaging. The light shows it going in and out of neutral but no real click into gear feel. The bike still rolls when "in gear". I think I need a new clutch but don't know a lot about it
