1998 suzuki 1400 intruder

had hard time starting bike. went to youtube, and there was a video of this guy named lord baccus. he showed splicing two wires together, saying it would bypass ignition relay, and send all power to starter. i did this and the bike won't even click now. need help please. anyone thanks dan
