Metric Chopper Help/suggestions please

#1 Unread post by bloodshotchevy66 »

Hey

I am looking at builing a metric chopper. I have been riding a 750 honda for numerous years now, so i want to upgrade my bike to something larger but stay in the matric market. I am looking to put a long rake on it and a fat say 280 tire on the rear. What I want to know is which motorcycle company and engine size would I want for that?

One last question if I got a honda vtx 1300cc or 1800cc with the shaft drive what would be requiered to put the big tire on it?A final drive conversion?

Thanks for your help I am new at this

Why bother. Honda's Fury will be out soon. Choppers for the masses.

People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.

Or just go with a Suzuki M109R. You can buy rake kits for them and they come stock with a 240 rear tire.
Have owned - 2001 Suzuki Volusia
Current bike - 2005 Kawasaki Z750S
MMI Graduation date January 9th, 2009. Factory Certifications in Suzuki and Yamaha
