Flat tire

#1 Unread post by society909 »

I got a flat rear tire on my Suzuki so I need to replace the inner tube. I am too poor (cheap) to pay a shop. I have to do it myself. I usually do everything else myself. I just never changed one with a drive shaft before.
Do I have to drain the shaft oil and what type oil do I need to replace it?
Is there a website where I can get some instructions on this?
Do tire stores keep motorcycle inner tubes in stock? I tried the parts stores but the tire stores was closed. I don't want to wait to have one shipped.

If you plan on doing your own work on your bike, the best tool investment you can make is a factory shop manual.

You might try youtube for help videos, I know there are some that deal with the process of tire and tube removal out there.
There is no such thing as a bad motorcycle.

1) Get the rear end off the ground.
2) Remove the rear axle, keeping all the spacers where they're suppose to be.
3) Pull the rear tire off the bike.

Basically that's it.
People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.
