Garmin Zumo mounting problem - help

#1 Unread post by flw »

If you mounted your Zumo 220 using the RAM mounting hardware that came with the gps, were your pan head screws that mount the cradle to the base plate too big to fit through?

If so how did you mount the gps with the supplied hardware?

I don't have the tools to ream out the holes to make them fit and I have already had Garmin send me a replacement RAM mounting system. Garmin sent me parts bags and did not check to see if they even fit. This is the same problem I had to begin with.

Or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks for your help

Who did you order your Zumo from? I've had good luck going direct for RAM mount bits. www.ram-mount.com

I got it for Christmas. The place is a online etailor, but I don't recall the name since it was months ago.

I contacted garmin direct and they resent me another ram system after I sent them mine. The replacement didn't fit either. I'm ready to pull my hair out.....

I'll check out the url you listed in your msg. Thanks for the reply.
