:( no preload on the two-fiddys.

i say get a used 250 for $1500, ride it for a year (im 6'2, 240lbs) and then trade up. sell the bike for $1300, and you wont have lost too much.

like others said- if he's that big it wont be a rocket ship- but when you are just learning- the slower everything happens, the better!
