of course the PT toys they give you for rebuilding strength and dexterity are fun! My stepmother the plastic surgeon/hand surgeon keeps a whole range of them at home. Granted I didn't need to use them but now I have ridiculously strong hands.
Strong hands, eh?

Tell them you were practicing your U-turns/figure 8's and messed up and fell.

They probably won't ask how fast you were doing the U-turn and they'll just think that u-turns are tricky.

just be honest and say you were leaning to ride a motorcycle and you made a mistake as you were learning.

everyone makes small mistakes learning to ride a motorcycle or drive a car, it's just the consequences are different depending on what slipup happened.

No doubt!! You know what the deal is, and you're the one who wants to get back in the saddle when it's time. And in many areas of life the most simple mishap can result in a terrible injury. My daughter sustained a spiral fracture to her tibia once when another kid fell on her at the playground. Fun for me... because apparently this is a break indicative of severe child abuse, so I had a very scary time trying to convince the hospital staff that it was merely a collision with another child. It was just the perfect combination of factors that made such a bad break.

Here's my baby, nearly three years ago...

By the way - that is one awesome setup you've got there. I didn't even know they had crutches like that. I would have thought a wheel chair would be the only option. Hang in there!! Hope you're healing up nicely.

Cheers,

Well, yea I do to. But mine is more believable. :D
A dog had his chain reduced one link at a time, every few days, until his chain was so short he could barely move. He never resisted because he was conditioned to the loss of his freedom slowly, over time. Are we in this country becoming like the dog?

Or you could say you were skydiving...and some boob ran into you mid-air tangling your chute...so while spiraling you managed to not panic and cut away the main...Unfortunately you had to restabilize yourself back in freefall before deploying your reserve and you happened to be well below 1000ft...Then, too low to maneuver toward the landing area and having to unexpectedly avoid some powerlines, you expertly swooped into a nearby parking lot and landed deftly between a row of parked cars. But it was gusty that day...and as the wind caught caught your chute like a sail, it dragged you and you tumbled end-over-end for 20 or 30 yards before hitting a lamppost...and then...

You were molested by the blair witch while running from nymphomaniac bulls down some stairs.

After the aforementioned skydiving accident of course.

if its a woman, tell her you were bit by a snake, but you still need the venom sucked out or you're going to die.

if that doesnt work, i guess you could tell the truth...that you have an incurable disease and a few things can cure it...then you can tell her how she can help.

man, that was really hard to type without breaking the filter.
