Religious riders....

#1 Unread post by Posthumane »

This is a pic that I snapped today of a bike belonging to a guy that works at the same base as me. What do you guys think? all the little plates are religious quotes of some sort and he rides with a jacket that has a huge cross across the back.

Ok I really hate people that bombard me with their religion.

Id say the guy is pretty religous. Maybe hes a minister?

I did notice something a bit odd. On his tool thingy behind the pillion seat he has a star of david on there? Funny seeing a Jewish symbol on a bike full of christian symbols. Hes definately not a Messianic Jew (I should know about this one, Im a Messianic Jew).

The bike actually does have a few nice little custom touches like the crosses on the radiator supports

Wasn't Jesus Jewish and then it involved into Christianity?

I don't know my Biblical stuff so you got me, but I think that's how it happend.

Anyhow, hopefully the Lord will be his armor if he ever falls.
Have fun on the open /¦\

It was the followers of Jesus that established christianity as a seperate religon. About the closest thing christianity has to a founder is the apostle Peter.

The bike looks dumb. Some idiot driving or riding next to him may get into an accident trying to read his plates.

While his dedication to his faith is impressive, I doubt he will convert anyone, and just simply puts another uneeded distraction on the road.

He's probably not going to get any chicks with that bike.

He can probably get extra credit from St Peter tho if he has John 3:16 as a licence plate.

Hey, why does everybody bash the christian bike?

Besides, give him credit, he probably doesn't beat up people for touching his bike...unlike some other 'angels' we know about.

Are yall sure that os the star of david on there? He's got the crucifix and what loks like Jesus standing arms open giving a speech.

The Star of David is used as a symbol for the Jewish to represent themselves, like Christians use the Cross for symbol. Remember Jesus was "King of the Jews"?

Anyway, I have no intention of starting any wars. Defended myself today more than enough about views I have pertaining to God.

Read up at Wikipedia if you want a little more:

To each his own...I think it's an ugly bike, but I won't coment on other peoples' religions. and neither should those who don't understand them...
Jews never considered Jesus a "King"... we really don't consider him much of anything other than an important historical figure who others choose to believe in.
