Does you dealer charge for the first service? Mine does it free, changing all 3 oils and the filter etc.

Well not sure about the dealer I bought it off, but that was in QLD, I'm in the N.T. So had to say.

Congratz on the new bike man, have you been camped out in front of the dealership, with your leathers on making vroom vroom sounds til they get the hint?

how many miles have you put on "their" new bike since you ordered yours?

Really...u like the denim paint? I did at first...but not so much anymore....about 2 weeks back....I saw the denim Silver...it is different.

Do you think that you can wax those paint finishes???
from talking w/ the dealer, i was told that it was righly recommended that you dont do anything to the tank or finish- Just wash and go.
I think the denim look was designed for "low maintance"- kinda giving it that hot rod matte/primer look.
You wont hurt the finnish by waxing it, but then its tougher to maintaine and if you were to wax it, might as well get the less expensive Vivid black, which is the traditional black w/ a nice shiny finish.
As for the Silver, i know what you mean about it being different- i think it might just be the color.

I have the denim silver (pewter?) Street Bob and just love it to death!
I was a little anxious when i test rode it on a demo day due to the mini apes hangers, but i really like how it feels and i like how much power it has....

me- Harley taste on a vstar 650 classic budget ( i cant afford the Street Bob, but i am purchasing a V Star 650- I am very stoked to get the V star, but we all have intentions and hopes of other MC we like to also own).
