I work rotating shifts. I ride all times of the day and night in all kinds of weather. Doesn't matter to me.
I can't remember the last time I rode just for the fun of it.

Being retired, I ride whenever the moods strikes me, but my favorite time is in the early morning when I make a coffee run to Dunkin Donuts. Ther's nothing like the early moring air in your face and the sunrise to get your day started. After I get my coffee, I take the long way home. XS

Unfortunately I spend most of my riding time commuting. Leave home at 0430 for the morning commute and come home around 1730(5:30pm) during rush hour traffic. Interstates are no fun!
I try to make up for it on the weekends by doing some joy riding in the Hill Country.

97% of my time is spent at night since I work 3rd shift. well ok at night on my way in and during the summer its during the day on the way home but now its dark on my way home. The other time is when wife asks me to go pick something up at the store. if it aint more than my bags can handle I run out on my bike and go get it.

uhm, yesterday i jumped on the bike at 9am to go to work, 25 miles later, i was there. then at noon, i decided to take an extended lunch, and i rode 30 miles to a cycle center to buy new gloves. then i left work at 4:30, to go meet up with two friends who recently got bikes, a vtx1300 and a speed triple. We rode fromo 5:30-8 on back roads and such.
so i guess the answer to your question is, as much as possible.
Not today thought because i found out my rear sprocket is bent. The bike is getting new sprockets and chain tomorrow.
