underbones

#1 Unread post by VermilionX »

so i was hanging out at a philippine motorcycle forum.

most people there ride underbones or ubones for short.

it looks like a hybrid between a bike and a scooter...

anyway... 1st time i've seen that category of bike. so now i know of another category of motorcycles.

they also have a racing class for it.

i asked for prices of RR bikes over there... one member said an R6 run about 580K. that's about 11,600USD. that is very expensive.

That thing looks kind of like a modern version of a Honda CT70 mini-trail. Might be fun.
I would be the old, slow guy. Just let me know where you are going and I'll try to get there before you leave.

that thing looks cool, but why wouldn't they just put a regular tank on it? unless it was just to make a different category of bike

probably because its still supposed to be similiar to a "step through" design.

So women can ride it with a skirt on and stuff.

they have scoots like that in thailand too....you can rent them....while there many moons ago(an older version obviously) I rented one and quickly found out how overpowered they are for their weight.....between that and me being thoroughly drunk when riding it, it cost me 500 dollar when i returned it. Ah to be young and stupid again...they are fun tho.

I'd commute on it if it went freeway speeds. Is there a link to the manufacturer? I'd never pay 11k for one though. I might drop a couple thousand on one, but you'd be hard pressed to convince me to spend any more than that on it - a "scoobike!".

Looks like a maintenance breeze, if parts are readily available. Thumper, yes?

I wonder if they make motorcycle skirts with pads?
