For me out of that list would be "Not paying enough attention" as well. There is so much to look at and do while riding at bike that you can easily miss something minor some of the time, and sometimes something more major (like running out of paved road to gravel road at 110 km/h!).

A rider will develop at speed at which they can be confident and that they can rubberneck at, for me, it's about 80-90km/h. The faster I go than that the more focused where I am heading I gotta be. And thus I "see" less around me.

Not paying attention leads to all other possible mistakes, that along with being tired which could also be not paying attention.

For me I think that it is gearing down too low before taking a corner. Going around the corner is lot smoother if I don't gear down too low.

Have to agree with "not paying attention" and; that's not necessarily the motorcycle rider but everyone else around you in cars. With the explosion of cell-phone use over the past few years as well as a littany of other driving distractions; it's more important than ever that the most vulnerable (us motorcycle riders) take even more care to be aware of everything going on around them at all times. Never take anything for granted. It's dangerous out there people so stay alert; please!

Again, not paying attention at times, especially on long rides you become complacent, then the next thing you know, you missed your turnoff. :scooter:

Talking on the phone will get you everytime. Not you...the other people around you in cars.
