Suzuki SV650 vs. Triumph Speed four

#1 Unread post by peetie1028 »

I am trying to decide whether to buy a 2003 Suzuki SV 650 or a 2004 Triumph Speed Four. Anyone have any suggestions??? Pros & cons of both or either one?? Thanks

SV650.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

For a first bike...the SV
For a third bike....the speed four
If I wanted a bike that was cool.... the speed triple.

SV.

The speed four is basically a previous-generation 600cc sportbike and is poorly suited to new riders or city riding.

Neither is particularly pretty, but the speed four is just fugly

The SV650 is truly fugly. Wow. Slap an 'S' onto the end of the name though and she transforms into a beauty :)

Having ridden both: Speed Four hands down. And you get the added bonus of not seeing one on every street corner...

Bleh! Naked SVs are way sexier! The S looks like a nose job gone wrong.

Bleh, definitely gotta disagree. I've never been so willing to spend an extra $400 in my life :)
