Corbin seats
Corbin seats
Just want some opinions...I hear they're very comfortable. The one i was looking at was the Gunfighter. Does anyone have experience with these seats?

Corbin has a repuation for makeing hard seats, when you complain they will tell you" it takes 3 to 5000 mi to brake in" they dont, if you have a warrenty problem good luck, it's your fault and your problem. Corbin has gotten so big they don't care, if you want a comfortable seat go with Daylong, there not the perrtyest seat but there good for a long haul.

There's a lot of guys at school that have La Pera seats, and they're comfortable as heck... Not sure if they make em for sportbikes, but I do know they make em for cruisers of all styles...

Yes please cause I'll be needing a more comfortable seat for my new bike. It's very hard to find opinions too :\shane-o wrote:I have heard some really bad press about Corbin here in AUS.

Haven't had any need to deal with Corbin following my purchase 2 years ago.
Yes, it's a bit hard when you first get it, especially at the sides. But -- it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be (from reading reviews, I thought I'd be sitting on a cinder block). And, I'd say it took a good 2500km before it was well worked in.
Now, I must say that I personally really like my Corbin. It came down to Mustang or Corbin for me, the reason I took the Corbin was that I kept reading that while the Mustangs tended to seat the rider a couple inches forward, the Corbins tend to seat you back a couple inches and sit you lower in the bike. As well, the shape just fit my bike a bit better than the visual esthetics of the Mustangs.
As for comfort, I can ride for hours and hours on my bike and not need to stop to get blood back in my arse. It is quite a comfortable seat.

Thanks for all the replies...the reason i was looking at corbin was the fact that they're comfortable and also that they seat you low and farther from the controls which is what I would prefer. The stock seat on my sportster starts getting uncomfortable in my back and "O Ring" after about an hour and half of riding. I'll start checking out the suggested companies. Thanks again.
