Even though the windscreen on the bike dosn't come up that high, and I think the windblast hits me about shoulder or upper chest level most (I'm 6'2")... I think that perhaps the turbulance might alter the flight path of the incomming organic projectiles... so the unlucky few meet up with their demise.
That's exactly what I'm saying I wonder if anyone has done a study on this, it'd be interesting to know :)

On very rare occasions, I'll actually get a bug or two splattered on the guage cluster. Right there on my RPM guage. I assume from turblance.
