I 'been lookin' at those lately, My old full-face is getting that tired look and it doesn't fit as well as it once did. Since my eyesight has slipped a bit over the last few years, I've been thinking that it might be best to get a flip-up. DMV doesn't require me to wear specs yet, but I guess it's only a matter of time.

Houk, how's the wind noise with yours? I wear plugs anyway, but heck, the quieter the better.

Let me get this straight... it's one down and four up, right?

Will be honest - the flip-front isnt the quietest of lids, but even still i have found it to be the best.

I only ever ride with the front clicked down into position. There are some where the front piece is not really of any great structural integrity (ie Roof) however, the modular one do seem to offer a good deal of protection.

Mine is the Laser Revolution - also has sun visor and double-glazed face shield so no fogging. can't fault it!

Wow Keyoke, that is a very nice looking helmet! Wish mine had a built in sun-visor and glazed face shield! Would be nice in the winter or when it's cold and rainy out.

Laser Revolution eh? Looks expensive! How much did it set you back?

Mike.

It was in fact real cheap!

Got it at the NEC bike show last year - It was last one in stock, so picked it up for £100 ($230 canadian)

It does need replacing now - hard use has killed the face shield, plus a couple of scratches. I'm going to the BMF show in May, so hope to pick up another one there (would not hesitate to get same lid again).

Noise is not bad at all, not alot of air getting in either. Since I now have a glasses restriction on my license, it was really the best choice. I have a couple Bell full face helmets and trying to wear glasses with these is just one big pain.

My primary is an MDS (AGV offshoot) Targa flip front lid.

Got to say I love it and will be hardpressed to find a good replacement.

I have an FM standard lid as my back up. To be honest I havent really noticed a difference in noise between the two, but most of the time I ride with the Visor cracked open.

Full face, like practically everyone else here. Guess lots of people are quite fond of their jaws.

Full face, although I would consider a flip up if it had strong structural integrity. Heck, I wear my full face when I ride across town on my vespa. I figure at 45 mph, the pavement or some other obstacle can do quite a bit of damage to my jaw. I rather like my jaw.

Some of my scooter friends think a full face is overboard, but I tell them that neither the law of inertia nor the law of conservation of momentum were repealed for scooters.
