The ergos sure looks comfy, but I'm still trying to get over the look of the bike. One attractive feature that appeals to me is that (I believe) they are optional with ABS.
You don't notice the looks when you're riding it, y'know.....
BTW, unfortunately only the 650's have the ABS option.

You may not notice your shirt is inside out, you have toilet paper stuck to your shoe and mustard on your face, but you'd still look pretty ridiculous;)
I'm not saying the Strom is ugly, I used to think so, but as I realized the beauty in it's utilitarian ways I began to appreciate it. But looks DO matter.

I'm 52, married, and a grandpa!!! Looks stopped mattering a long time ago. Heck, most days I'm just happy to have function (or most of it) let alone looks!!
I'm 25, not married and have no children*. Yet the chicks dig the strom. I know it's not me. The best I ever look is in my full face helmet with a tinted visor
I still like that bike, too. Hell, it might even feel small after the B-King. But it would cost more than my bike. Not gonna happen.

I don't mean in a vain way... I'm an artist by profession, so when looks stop mattering to me, I go broke;)
despar you need that 'vain way' if you plan to be successful in the art field. Unless you see through the a$$ and create real art. Then success won't mean as much.
People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.
Always wear a helmet, eye protection, and protective clothing. Never ride under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

I'm more of an assembly-line artist (film) not really 'artsy fartsy' I work in a team;)

During the time that I've owned these bikes I've realized a few things that I would like and not like on my future bike:
I like the upright positioning of the cruisers better
I prefer to have my feet below me rather than in front of me
I like disc brakes front and back (my cruisers had drum brakes in back!)
I like the extra distance that I get with 5.5gal tank in the VFR
I like the down low torque of the V-twins (but also the rush of HP in the VFR and Magna)
I don't like the vibration from the V-twins (the V4's win here for me)
I don't necessarily like or dislike fairings, so I'm indifferent here
I'd prefer to do away with carbs, but I can go either way.
Is there maybe a better bike that you guys can think of that would suit me a bit better? I'm 5'10" (30" inseam) and about 275lbs.
Has anyone suggested the Kawasaki Concourse? I am a pretty small guy (5'4") but I did not feel as though I was kissing the tank on a 07.
