Take care of your gear

#1 Unread post by Johnj »

I bought some knee armor yesterday. They're like knee pads, but with CE hard armor, so I decided to wash them. I also pulled the pads out of my everyday helmet and threw them in too.

 Now my helmet smells like a fresh mountain pass on a nice sunny day!
People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.

Always wear a helmet, eye protection, and protective clothing. Never ride under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Now you don't even need to leave home for the experience.

Did you machine wash them?

Doesn't the foam get affected by moisture though? I was told to take the pads out of my jacket before washing it, for instance.

Didn't notice any damage to the pads. I used the delicate cycle and air dried them.
