Highest Mileage

#1 Unread post by PacificShot327 »

What is the highest number of miles you've been able to get out of any of your motorcycles? This guy now has over 166 THOUSAND miles on his F4i as of last week. What's your record?

Ahh, so there is a good reason why I could get a F4i.

But me, I'm at the early end of my career with minuscule miles on my bikes.

Some people here though... Put more miles on their bike than I put on my car in a year. Which is mighty impressive (to me, anyway).

I read in a mag recently that some guy put a million on a 90s something HD. Can't remember where I saw it though.

WOW!

I can't imagine I'll get to that many miles on my bike - at least not for a long time.

As for myself, I just hit 44k, though it's much higher than that. My speedo went out for several months and I was too lazy to fix it. I'd guess probably about 48-50k.

The same thread is running at ADVrider right now. Some of those guys have well over 100k. Beemerchef had quite a few miles on his tug when I met him two years ago, I'd be interested to know what he has on it now.

I put on 30k within the first 3 years of ownership and the bike is now pushing into the 38K and will most likely see 40+ by the end of the year (not season as I ride all year round).

Did I mention it's a 500cc Vulcan?? Those engines are bulletproof. They should bring back the Eliminator.

I never racked up huge miles on any one bike, because I always had two or three in the garage and had to divide my riding time between them. I had a couple of Kaw 750 twins that racked up 88K and 67K before I retired them. The current Nighthawk is still fresh at 25K.

Kawasaki does still offer the Eliminator 125. Which Eliminator would you like to see them bring back?
