Does this happen to you ????

#1 Unread post by sapaul »

I have been office bound lately as I am studying for my TAX exams. I got the opportunity to get out on the bike for a quick run into town, maybe 70 kms round trip.

As soon as I put the gear on and got the bike out of the garage, I could feel my body responding, the awareness levels jumped up by 3, I felt fit and strong, the old brain went into hyper mode. I felt as if I had 3 meters either side of me when I was spitting and felt like the Mentalist reading the traffic patterns. Reaction times felt speed-ed up and I was a really happy camper me, right there. Damn I don't like the office, but it pays the bills.
I spent my therapy money an a K1200S

Yes, all of that - apart from the Tax exams. The things you do to pay for your riding habit!

Most of the time, yeah. Sometimes I have a bad ride - like the one I posted about in my geezers and eyesight thread, then I feel old. But most the time, yeah, getting to work by motorcycle makes me feel alive and invigorated.

If I'm going to go on the Bike I have to try not NOT think about it until I actually get there. My body starts amping up just thinking about the right so I have to keep myself calm.

Psh, I got to start worrying about snow soon here in NYC. Not that I'll put the bike in storage considering that I ride all year when there's no snow or ice on the ground and rain is nothing (if my tires are in good shape). So psyched about applying for CA PD departments so I can leave this pothole ridden northeastern city.

Yes it does happen to me. With the riding season drawing to a close I am going to miss it.

Hey, I ride (mostly) year round despite cold, rain or wind. That'll change when I end up in warmer climate! :P :kicking:
