CA DMV -Automatic motorcycle

#1 Unread post by kerwink040 »

Will the CA DMV allow someone to take the motorcycle road test with an automatic motorcycle (Honda DN-01)[680cc]?
I see in their Youtube videos they ask where the clutch is and they want to see them shift in another part of the test.
This particular bike does have the option to manually shift with buttons (semi-automatic) (new technology) on the left handgrip.

Hello there Kirwin, and welcome to the forum. CA DMV is an omnipresent state bureaucracy. They don't have to know.
People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.

@JohnJ and Spyder

Cool. I would love to do that but I think they will find out though. They are suppose to ask me where the controls are on my bike. When they ask me to show them the clutch and shifter they will know-there is none.
In thinking about this...people take their test with scooters and they don't have a clutch or shifter so I don't think my mc should be one.
