The irony of it

The irony of it:
One day while riding my motorcycle on the way to the Ohio River, I had to slow down for construction on the expressway. Right beside me was a guy in his expensive SUV, with it's air conditioned leather seats and Bose sound system. His wife and 2.3 average kids demanded his full attention. As I rode along beside of him, I couldn't help but think..."but for the grace of god, there go I".

He was looking at me in my leather clad splendor, riding my two wheeled chrome horse with it's saddle bags packed to go who knows where. As the traffic cleared, I picked up speed and left him behind. As I disappeared over the horizon, he thought to himself..."but for the grace of god, there go I".

You never know ... some men like living like that. So I've been told anyway.

Different paths, different decisions; but I bet him seeing you enjoying the feeling of freedom riding a motorcycle at that moment said a ton.

Hopefully though he has a bike in his garage. :revv:

I may have used a little poetic license while describing the thoughts I had about the SUV driver that day on the expressway. I don't know for sure how he felt, but I'm positive about my thoughts that day. I'm glad I was on two wheels with my saddlebags packed and nothing in particular that demanded my time.

Now that the grandchildren are all grown up and the great grandchildren are getting older I have much more time for playing (riding). Everything in it's own time. :D
