The Frozen Nuts Game!!

#1 Unread post by JackoftheGreen »

Way back before I discovered TMW, I discovered among some other forum a game they played not unlike our Riding Game. And while I don't intend to play this one, I'd like to suggest it for those that would enjoy it.

Essentially it goes like this -- for all you who continue to ride your scoots throughout the winter, you submit some number of pictures of your bike in front of a public marquee somewhere (banks, hotels, etc) which display the current temperature. It ought to be either a set number of pictures, say 10 or something, between now and the turning of the seasons, maybe, May 1st? Or, one picture every week or month or whatever to stay in the running, and whoever has the lowest average temperate through all their pictures wins the Frozen Nut award. Nut as in crazy, yaknow. (-;

So is anyone interested? If so we should hash out details.

Maybe restrict it to two wheeled vehicles to give us a fighting chance?

I think that'd be fair, obviously the ability to ride to a marquee somewhere during a snowstorm would be and unfair advantage. You interested in playing Ryan? I didn't think I'd want to actually play myself, but after the balaclava incident I mentioned earlier I'm not so sure now.

Lol just moving it out of the garage doesn't count. But yeah I'm in. As soon as I get a chance to replace my valve cover gasket I'll be riding a half hour to 45 minutes to work daily. Although if this winter is like last, we won't be below 0 too often.

Hey, this is no fair, I don't think we are going to be getting any snow this year in Texas.

But here is me riding in the show in January in Calgary, a warm day of around -15°C. You might notice I have the center stand up, that's because I was the only one taking the photos and had to keep the bike up when I was setting the camera's self-timer.

and this one is riding in the middle of BFN (Hussar, AB) in early March:
