Had my first ride on an early 70's Honda 350 dirt bike at the tender age of 15, but it wasn't until I was 20 that I bought my first ride. Been on two wheels ever since.

I was 13 and 47 years ago no one ever heard of mini bikes.........so what I bought was a tubelar frame that utilized a Briggs & Stratton engine with a centrifugal clutch . Back then we called them Doodle Bugs . Later found out they were manufactured by a company called Hiawatha . Great thing about the little D-bug was that I could sure ditch the cops by cutting thru peoples yards and alleys ...........
Course I was also the kind of kid that would take a 2x12 and strap on some wagon wheels and a wagon wheel tongue for steering , bolt on a Briggs & Stratton with a hand pulled wire throttle cable and give it hell .
Life was so much simpler then .
Kind regards, Wizzard

I was 19 when I bought my first bike, a 1985 Honda VFR700R Interceptor. The closest thing to a motorcycle I had ridden before that was my cousin's 3Wheel ATV that they let me ride around the fields a little, as long as I didn't go above 2nd gear :).
