After starting his Grand Prix career with Derbi in the 125cc category in 2002, three time MotoGP World Champion Jorge Lorenzo moved to a 250cc Honda in 2005 for the Fortuna-sponsored team. While 2005 wasn’t very successful, the Spanish rider had a fantastic season next year with the team enjoying full factory support from Aprilia. Lorenzo would end the season with eight victories out of 16 starts, and his first World Championship.

This Aprilia on offer here from BOMHAMS is from the 2007 season where Aprilia stopped their works efforts and concentrated on providing factory support to Fortuna and a few other teams. This meant that the Aprilia RSW 250 that Fortuna received here came directly from Aprilia’s parent company Piaggio Group’s racing department, which was race to an incredible World Championship by Jorge Lorenzo. With nine victories and a significantly large 52 points lead over runner-up Andrea Dovizioso, Lorenzo took his second 250cc World Championship title.
