Is the Ducati Scrambler worth the money?

#1 Unread post by Different Spokes TV »

There is no doubt that I loved this bike when I rode it. It's super light, quick, handles well (would handle better on the road with road specific tires) and looks good. However, i'm sure that I'm not the first one to notice that you can get all of the performance of this bike (and maybe more) with several Japanese bikes (SV650, MT-07) for a significantly lower price. So are the looks and the 'Ducati' badge worth it? Feel free to share your opinion, especially if you own one or own one of the less expensive alternatives. I'm interested in buying a bike in this category next year.

It's actually worth it if it's your cup of tea. It's all about preference. I like the 1100 Sport version of it. Yeah, there are lots of cheaper bikes but just like I said, it's all about preference.

I've heard that it has plenty of power and the seat is comfortable which is great especially if you do long trips.
