Test video #2 with sport bikes

#1 Unread post by vector18 »

I was out with 2 friends yesterday and we ran into this sport bike gang riding in formation. I rode up to the leader and took off. It looks like I cut one or two off, but I actually gave a hand signal before hand and they gave me the go ahead. Once I took off, a couple of them chased after me. You see one guy blast past me at first than he slowed down and let me take the lead. After I slowed down and relaxed, I looked behind me and 3 guys were right up my a$$. They pulled next to me and gave me thumbs up. One of them had freakin spikes all over his helmet! The video should have been longer, but the camera stopped for some reason. Must have been the 125mph vibrations! Anyway, let me know what you think of this video.

Okay, you asked.

I think you were going too fast for the traffic you were in and you pulled a bunch of stupid moves that give us motorcyclists a bad name. On top of that, if you think 125 is fast, you don't really know what fast is.

this is not meant as a wiseguy post, you just asked so I am politely telling you what I think.

Kevin, I respect your opinion, but I like to have fun wheter it be dangerous or not. I understand it could affect not only myself and all that but my friends and myself still are hot headed. Like the old saying, to each their own.
And for your 125mph comment, keep in mind that I was on a cruiser, NOT a sport bike. My particular bike tops out at about 130-135mph. I could easily do 180+ if I was on a busa!

Not impressed except by the stupidity of it all. I'm sure the cagers were impressed as I would have been if I were a cager in one of the cars.

Good drivers/riders make bad drivers/riders think they're good. You're lucky the cagers were good defensive drivers and held position to let you through. They could have cut you off. I'm glad they let you survive unscathed.

Take it to the track. Its easy to be a legend in your own mind. Go race against the big boys and see how good you really are in a safer environment.

Sorry, but you asked.

Where in my post am I claiming to be the best rider out there or am I claiming to be a legend? It's just a video that I thought a few bikers might enjoy watching. Maybe I need to be more specific in my post. OK, I am not the best rider out there, I am not the fastest rider out there, I cannot smoke every other rider out there, I am not the safest rider out there, I am not the smartest guy in the world. Does anyone else want to say that I was claiming something I wasn't?

How were you taking that video? Did you have a camera mounted on your bike?

All I want to know is....... how can you do that and not run past a cop? Or two. Anyplace with that much traffic around here would have plenty of cops spread through out the traffic stream.

Then you got to explain to that cop why he should only bust you for Dangerous Driving instead of Reckless Endangerment. And that sucks..... :innoncent:
No Witnesses.... :shifty:

Buzz, last riding season I got pulled over and received 6 summons. This past season I got pulled over and received 5 summons including a 110mph in a 55 mph highway. The 1st 6 tickets were all knocked down to equipment failures thanks to my good lawyer and I'm waiting to go to court for the 110mph one which I was told would be knocked down to around 70mph. As of right now, I don't have a single point on my license. Thank god! I kinda know where the cops hang out and keep it slow around those areas, but if I know an area where a cop cannot be, it's all fun for me. I think a 1/4 mile track is just boring and my cruiser is not a bike to put on an oval track so what choices do I have for some fun? And on top of things, I usually ride with a cop or two in my group and they ride even more nuttier than I do.
