I FINALY BOUGHT A BIKE... a NINJA 250... 1995. and bought a helmet.

Havent brought it back home yet.. still tuning up etc.

That's cool. I have a a '95 ninja 250 as well. Soon to be "use to" though. I'm selling it and getting a 2007 ZZR600. Should be a fun ride. Anyway, you'll have lots of fun on that 250, and it will teach some good things.

VERY COOL! I haven't ridden the '95, but the '06 feels smooth and very nice.

Since your's is broken in, you probably only need to do some tune ups etc.

You should consider a nice jacket, gloves, and especially boots. I cannot stress enough how important those are. You don't need riding boots per se, but when I went down, I had em and I am confident they saved my ankles from getting crushed (noticed very significant rash on the boots over the ankle areas). Pants are so-so, it's up to you and your budget.

P.S. After you get comfortagble, you should pick up a book like Sport Riding Techniques. I personally think its a very clear and concise book. CHEERS!

i vote for "sport riding techiniques" as well but im gonna say to get it right away.

although try not to get too involved w/ the technicalities like me.

The more time I read this forum the more I find myself wanting a Ninja 250. Last spring I let one get away, I could have purchaced it, it was a 2004 in new condition for $2K.
