buying my bike how much to pay delivery?

#1 Unread post by resage »

I am buying a bike and I was talking to the dealer and was asking about delivery he said if its local they wont charge just take care of the driver who delivers it. The distance from the dealer is about like 10miles if anything how much would be a good tip for the driver for bringing the bike to my house? (I would ride it myself but..... i cant ride on main roads quite yet.)

I paid $50 to have my bike delivered and I live less than 10 miles away. It came over on a flatbed.

Assuming the driver works for the dealership and is on paid time, I'd tip him a $20 for his trouble. (This is in NJ, close to 2 major cities.)

edit- also assuming, of course, he was careful/respectful of your new property! :)

20$ is decent. Gives him a case of beer.
