#1 Unread post by iamjeff »

so im looking into picking up a kit bike. its a 2008 custom bobber chopper kikker 5150 200cc, my questions are: has anyone riden one of these before and if so do you think its sturdy enough for a 6'5" 250 lb dude to be riding everyday? also what other bikes can ya recommend for someone my size, im not looking for a monster bike i was simplistic no frills straight down to the point kinda bike....

Is this some kind of Chinese Honsukiha clone engined chopper looking thing?

My recommendation is to go to a MSF training course then go look at a 250 cc bike from a Honda-Kawasaki-Suzuki-Yamaha dealer.

Unless your a mechanic. And you like to work on your ride more than ride it. If you get what I'm saying.
People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.

i don't know what your talking bout but this is a link to the bike....http://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/mcy/947185058.html. i dont think i want any of the bikes you listed, i havent seen a bike i really like enough from there lines. i just want a really simplistic minimalist type of bike. an old school looking frame and just raw looking. i have no clue where to find somethign like that thats not gonna cost me thousands to have t custon built.

Are you talking more about one of these?

No. That is not a good bike for anyone.. and that is a 3/4 scale size bike. It is not worth what he is asking either. I think they sell them new for like $1200 or so.

Look for an older UJM (1980s japanese bike. Honda CB650-900, Kawasaki KZ650-900, Yamaha XS650-whatever they had).

Are those things even road legal? Check and make sure they can be registered for road use in your jurisdiction. ...... speedometer and turn signals are extra cost options.... hmmmm..... who makes the motors they put in these things? Doesn't say... hmmm.........

BTW, would you trust your wellbeing at speed to a machine some person of unknown abilities and integrity slapped together out of a kit?
