xt225 or KLR650
Ok, so ive narrowed my choices down to these two bikes. But now im stuck, ive sat on both and both feel comfortable. I personally like th styling of the yamaha more but with a smaller engine im a little worried that i will become bored with it too soon. Anyone ridden both or either one and got any opinions on em?

I have an 05 KLR650 and I love it. Not the greatest bike if you're looking to do real technical off road stuff, but it's got enough versatility to get you where you want to go, no matter what might stand in your way.
There's also a huge aftermarket for the KLR.

Im not looking to do all the technical stuff, just looking to be able to take the dirt trails to the top of the hill and at least kinda keep up with my dirtbiker buddies
ive heard about the huge aftermarket for it, not so much for xt225 im guess right?

Go for the KLR or even the KLE, best value for money bikes you can buy, with the exception of the BMW 650 Dakar. They can all do level two or three with a decent rider and you will be well pleased with how stable and easy to ride they are on the tar. WhyteGryphon may back me up but this is a bike that you can grow into and when you think you have hit the limits there is more to go.

In his case he's appealing to any geeks out there who have worked on computer software. Binary is base 2, meaning every possible number/letter can be represented by a combination of 1's and 0's. We use base 10, which means we can represent numbers/letters with combos of 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9. Thus, his joke is that there are only 10 types people who understand binary, those who do and those who dont. Exactly! 0000 = 0
0001 = 1
0010 = 2
0011 = 3

0101 = 5

And so on...
The columns, starting from the right, double in value as you go left. First you have the "1's" column, then the "2's", then the "4's", blah blah blah...

yes you do have to be a little odd to believe that, though its kinda true, people who work with binary and computers are odd and tend to get along a lot better with geeks, so i guess that could be why they think there are only 10 types of people out there. None the less, i thought it was funny, its a joke.
