then i would be familiar w/ the turns so that even if i can't see it... i'll have a good idea how it curves.

No, don't go to an open road, especially with still blind curves. You just need to go and focus specifically on rght hand turns only. I'm merely asking you to take 1-2hrs of your riding career and practice a specific aspect. Like basketball players, we don't all come out of the womb knowing how to do a layup. If you watch weekend warriors, they often cannot perform the simple task of a correct layup because they never learned how to perform a simple layup. Every fundamentally skilled basketball player knows, from the free throw line, one dribble/step with the inside foot, take 2big steps and jump, stretch and reach to "lay" the ball on the backboard. For a right handed, its left-right-left, for lefthanded it right-left-right.

Now, go break down the mechnics and fundamentals of turning right in a parking lot, or go practice layups.

Spend your money however you want. You're going to buy it no matter what we say.

I wouldn't buy it unless I needed it. That's $250 that could be better used elsewhere.

so lets say you ride a particular canyon road...then turn around on that road and ride it back..would it be safe to say that all the previous left hand turns would now be right hand and vice versa? I'm thinking the blind turn excuse really isnt valid.

I don't know how you could justify buying that helmet. Maybe by telling yourself that spending more money on things you don't need just because it has some pointless fancy features and a slick website with a big marked discount means that somewhere an advertising agent is lining his pockets and ensuring his future by having successfully created a gluttonous buy-now-think-later consumer? Try that angle.

joined some guys from teh SCS forums...

here's a short clip.

that's luke... he's actually faster than me but that's not his bike so he'e not familiar w/ it and he probably doesn't wanna push it too hard.

I find it interesting that this guy likes to flap his legs around like you used to. He isn't really leaning over far enough to justify sticking his legs out like that.

If you like how that video sounds that's cool, but I think it sounds terrible. I would definitely cover that mic.
