Stevie's Bike

Stevie's lil Ninjai

Worked on Getting Stevie's frame sliders on this Sunday. Right after I put the sliders on his bike Stevie was backing the lil Ninjai out of my driveway and dropped it smack on its right slider! :crybaby: After picking the bike back up and looking and checking for damage I guess the slider did its job. It saved his fairing from getting smashed. The only damage to the fairing was a little scratch. The problem was the engine bolt with got bent because the fall smashed directly onto the slider which caused everything else to loosen. I had to take the sliders off and replace the engine bolt with the oem one. Well his sliders were on for a total of five minutes but at least they did their job. :-D I guess it saved him from getting overpriced fairings but now he has to get a new engine bolt and put the sliders back on.

After the mishap. He's so tall he makes that 2fiddy look like a 125.

Another Track Day @ Thunderhill 11.8.10

Here's stubby getting ready for a track day. Took off the mirrors and taped up the glass.

This is the cockpit view looking at me.

Over all it was a great day. I got to borrow a lap timer and got my best times of 2:14 around the track which qualifies me for the A group. I also got my suspension dialed in professionally by Dave Moss from Catalyst Reaction. Great group of people and very friendly and helpful. Especially with newbs at the whole suspension process. I highly recommend you get your suspension done especially if you're riding track.

Viva Las Vegas

#154 Unread post by wrecks »

I was in Las Vegas for the week and I couldn't ride my bike so this was the next coolest thing to do other than gamble money away and eat.

To be honest I couldn't stand Vegas. To me everything there is overdone. A couple of days is good but if you stay over that you tend to get bored. At least I did.

FAIL RIDE

#155 Unread post by wrecks »

This is what happens when you don't keep your bike on a battery tender. I haven't used my CBR since my last track day at the beginning of November. It was a perfect day for a ride. I had just put on my mirrors and connected my lights getting stubby ready for the street again. My buddy and I were about to go on a short twisty loop and after getting gas my bike's battery fails. Totally my fault!!!

Hey you get yer LED's fingered out? Was it just switching out to a different Relay? Usually it would have been a higher resistance relay.

Damn why would you spend that much for a car (x5) when you can get a Chevy Tahoe that can actually TOW things for the same price? Tahoe is what I will be getting here in about 6 months :D. course I am getting that for the wife over a full size truck because well we already have a truck and we are tired of a mini van. Plus she wants 8 passenger. Though we are thinking about a suburban for another 10 grand but not sure the extra 16" the suburban has is worth an extra 10 grand.

Yeah it was just a matter of switching the relay. Just picked up one from Kragen plugged it in and it worked but yesterday he just dropped it at the gas station so now we'll have to end up replacing the frame slider engine bolt. :frusty:

Hahahah, exactly. If i was getting a sport utility I would get one with more functionality rather than a name.
