My first blog post:
The weather has been good the whole week in SF. Its been mild around the Mid 60'sF. I'm gonna take "stubby" out for a ride tomorrow morning and make the most of my day off.
North Hwy 1 up to Point Reyes and back should be fun for Monday.

Monday Ride #2 (2k9)
The usual Stinson/Hwy one route. A bit more congested today because of the holiday. At least it was sunny and warm. Below is Bolinas Lagoon. The seals usually use this place to lay up in the sun to warm but I didn't see any of them today. When I first began surfing Bolinas was one of the best places to go in the winter when the huge 20ft northwest swells would wrap around the point and by the time the swell hit Bolinas beach it was about shoulder high and perfect. Stinson beach which is nearby was ok but that wave closes out most of the time unless its high tide.
No seals bathing in the sun today.

Noriyuki haga
Nori is one of my favorite riders in WSBK. I hope he does well this year with Ducati. I have his 2008 Helmet called "fire & Ice"

D-Store
The SF D-store (Dainese) had some old leathers on display this summer.
If you're into Moto GP you'll recognize the names.
This was from one of Kevin Schwantz's triple digit get offs. He walked away from this crash too.
Some more champs that you've heard of.

Pictures From Random Trips
Here's some Random Pictures Im sharing on my trip through life.
I call this guy 'Skull Dude'. I met him on a pee break out on Hwy One. He was coming back from a Biker Weekend in Calistoga, CA. He had all these little skulls on the windscreen of his moto. Hence the 'nickname'.
Here's a random couple enjoying the ride Which is what life is about when you ride.
Here's me in the Philippine Islands. I will not say exactly where Im surfing in order to preserve that beach break. All I will say is there is so much surf in the PI you just have to go out there and find it. There are also a lot of intermediate reef breaks that are so fun. Just remember to wear your helmet.
This beautiful road is in the Sequoia National Forest
Joshua Tree
Have you ever tasted one of these. Bonus points if you know what cartoon character this popsicle is of. Let me give you a clue. They all have shells.
These vending machines are all over Japan. You cannot get away from them. I think in the future they will be all automated walking around to find customers. They are a blast though. You can order everything from them. You can get hot and cold drinks from the same machine. When I say they sell everything I mean everything. You can get anything from condoms to crackers and everything in-between.
This is one of many of Doc' Wong's moto's. This is one pretty Duc. Doc Wong is a chiropractor who loves moto's and gets people together with guess speakers from the moto world and holds mini riding seminars. The last time I rode with Wong we had Rich Oliver as a guest. The best thing about these seminars is that they are all completely FREE!
This guys an amazing stunter. Why you ask? Whats so special about his stunting? Well he stunts on a Harley Davidson. His name is Jason Pullen and hes been around for awhile. This picture I took of him is when my brother and I were being Hooligans in this one parking lot when he showed up and gave us some real pointers on wheelies and stoppies. He's a nice guy, down to earth & born and raised in SF.
This is little Buddha wishing you all at TMW a happy lunar new year!!!

Another Ride
Here's another Doc Wong ride that I went on last summer.
This was at Alice's. Alice's is a famous restaurant that bikers visit up here in Norcal. Its also near a point where 4 beautiful twisty roads meet called 4 corners.
Here's a Ducati HyperMotard.
Sometimes living near industrial areas is a plus because you can let your inner hooligan out as my brother demonstrates. You just have to watch out for nails.
The same weekend of my ride this tree fell over and damaged a couple of cars nearby my work.
Good thing no one was hurt. Just dented some cars.

This is the So-Cal desert.
This is cacti that grows in the desert.
Lamb has got to be one of my most favorite meals! especially with split pea soup. MMMMMMmmmm Good!
I've been seeing these all over the city recently. They're called SMART cars. They're tiny. They save on gas and make parking a bit more easier than a regular sized cage. They can go on the highway but I don't think you'd want to go far if you did. Here's a link to info on them. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smart_(aut ... ion_Models
I really miss my gixxer. I'll have to tell the story of what happened to my Gixxer another time.

My XT225
The XT225 is probably one of the best versatile bikes around. I use mine as an all around town errand bike. Great on gas, great in crowded areas, not powerful enough to get you into trouble, perfect for the cities or for a farm. It came with knobbies but I got rid of them because most of the riding I do is on paved roads. Let me be the first to say this little moto can take a beating too. Very reliable in all conditions. I would say the only thing that is a con for this motorcycle is cold starts. Sometimes the XT225 takes a bit to start in colder environments.

Worked on Reg's Ninjai Today
My buddy and I worked on Reg's Ninjai today. We installed some frame sliders and a tail kit. It came out pretty good. I have some before and after pictures.
Here's the little Ninjai naked
Here's the tail kit connected to the oem tail that I had to saw.
Here is the before picture.
After picture. Although we only installed the frame sliders and tail kit you will also notice the the pipe is new too. The earlier picture was a bit older than the new one I took.
