2013 Moto Guzzi Griso 1200 8V SE

The 2013 Moto Guzzi Griso 8V SE might well be one of the most unique and captivating motorcycles to come out of the Mandello Del Lario factory. The bold character expressed in the nonconformist styling of the Griso is given further emphasis by the aggressive new black/silver color concept in a matte tone that flows elegantly with the numerous black painted metal elements such as the frame, wheels, steering plates, handlebar and instrument panel covers.

Griso 8V SE has impeccable style; this machine is an instinctive creation, pure, solid and distinctive and in many ways a work of art.

The design details are discreet but elegant and pure quality; the lines blend together and are accentuated by the chrome finishing and satin metal form. The fuel tank lends itself superbly to the strong frame creating an aerodynamic teardrop body which is continued through to the tail which houses three high intensity LED light units.

The Griso is decidedly masculine and powerful yet the “Quattrovalvole” engine seems to be set like a jewel in a frame that shows off its revolutionary design to the utmost effect. Returning to the performance, it becomes obvious that the sophisticated components are not mere technical details included for the sake of style but enhances performance and provides guaranteed reactivity.

The Moto Guzzi Griso SE features the latest transverse 90° V-twin from the “Quattrovalvole” series and produces a peak power of 110 hp at just 7500 rpm with a whopping 108Nm of torque at 6400 rpm allowing the Griso SE to dominate the road with a smooth power delivery whilst the outstanding chassis keeps all those horses in check. The chassis is comprised of a twin overhead tubular element made from high tensile steel and generously sized lateral reinforcement of the lower cradle with ribbing that has been added not only for aesthetic purposes but also for increased rigidity.

The stylish black and silver livery contrasts elegantly with the black metal of the frame which also ties in the black rims, steering plates and handlebars. It also boasts chrome spoke wheels and colour coordinated badges. The incredible two-into-one exhaust system highlights the Griso SE’s boldness and further ads to the character of this unique motorcycle. Its details like this that leave an impression before you even ride the Moto Guzzi Griso 8V SE.

I voted: AWESOME

It's a really nice looking bike, but I still like mine better...but if you're in the States and can't get the MT-01, this is a nice alternative. ;-)

Awesome - always loved this bike, but prefer the older green bike / brown seat version if I had the choice. When you look around there really isn't another bike like it out there.

Not my favorite color scheme for this bike - I liked the ones that were the muted green color with the medium-brown leather seat.

Nonetheless....... it's a Griso 8v. One of my all-time motorcycle lust objects. Automatic AWESOME!! If Piaggio would get serious about their ridiculously sparse dealer network, I woudl SO own one of these.

I had a ride on one and it truly is awesome. I would have bought one if I hadn't had a bad experience with the local dealer.

That was the Special Edition Tenni that came out in 2009 and is my fave Griso as well. :kicking:
