The interceptor. The athlete. Aerodynamic, avant-garde...

Do you know of another sporty bike with this profile? A bike that develops such pulling power with 175 hp that it take the heat out of many a 200 hp bike? But a bike you can still take out on a quick trip simply because it has great everyday suitability? At the same time a technological treat?

The BMW K 1300 S: supreme power with the sportiest of understatement. Why not try it out right away!

The BMW K 1300 S Motosport

An athlete in top form.

Even in the standard version, the BMW K 1300 S leaves nothing to be desired when it comes to performance. Can it be taken any further? It certainly can: even at first glance the K 1300 SS "Motorsport" special model looks like an athlete raring to go. In the paint finish Black Storm metallic and Light White non-metallic with the accentuation colour Lupin Blue metallic it instantly conveys the character of a power bike. The overall look is rounded off with a tinted windshield.

And the "Motorsport" special model has a whole lot to offer in terms of detail, too: the HP footrest system gives the rider individual setting options and is extra narrow for greater banking freedom. The hand-made Akrapovic silencer made of titanium produces a powerful sound as well as offering clear benefits in terms of weight. Its sporty light alloy forged wheels make the K 1300 S Motorsport even more agile.

The Interceptor? I thought Honda made those!

LOL.

Nice looking bike, sorta like a VFR I once knew...

But still, cool.

I would take this bike and turn it into a fast sport touring bike. Shaft drive so you would not have mess with chain care on long trips. Single sided swing arm is cool. Add some luggage, heated grips and you would be set. Good power and I think it looks good. 16k is in the zx14-hayabusa range, expected it to be more with it being a bmw. I voted Awesome.

A bit dated (it's basically an evolution of the 2004 K1200S), but still, the world could always use more sporty touring bikes. Or tourable sportbikes? Solid cool.

I voted: Awesome

175hp, good looking, sport tourer. Heck it only weights in at 500lbs? DARN! I can't really complain too much about it other than the CDN price vs the USD price, but it might be because of the USD/CDN exchange rates... otherwise, a great bike! I even like it in the white as well.

I'd be happy to own one, if one comes up used in the future as that $18k is an issue (for me). But its a BMW so I kinda expected that $ too.

Mike
