Timeless...

A timeless design that has remained strong over the years. The lightweight responsiveness of the Boulevard S40 enhances the amount joy you'll have cruising down the highway and beyond the city limits. The S40 utilizes a strong single-cylinder engine that provides exciting low-end to mid-range torque and rock solid reliability. At cruising speeds, you'll really appreciate the ride quality of the S40's suspension.

This gleaming beauty is what custom cruising all about. The SUZUKI BOULEVARD S40’s high torque, produced by its powerful engine, is fully utilized by a wide 5-speed transmission and low-maintenance belt drive. Well, it's definitely not the fastest, nor the newest cruiser on the boulevard, but it's definitely affordable and has almost 30 years of history behind it. I think the Savage 650/S40 has to be one of the longest running non-changed models ever. Just think how many new riders cut their teeth on these!

Timeless indeed.

Just before reading the above post I was thinking how it could use a couple of updates. Definitely a cool bike.

I would have to ride one to give it an awesome, but I can definitely say 'cool' for it's looks and longevity as a model.

I had to vote: Awesome.

It's awesome in a very special way that most bikes can't be, it's the door opener to an amazing motorcycling lifestyle. Easy to ride, easy to control, easy on the wallet, easy on the eye, heck it's even easy to work on/fix too.

Yes Suzuki could update it for sure, but some updates can ruin a good model too...

Power be dammed! It's just an amazing catalyst.

Sorry guys, I am not a fan of much other than the price. Square mirrors, chunky ugly seat, and unattractive tread pattern on those tires.... Uncool!

Fail. It is a shaky, cramped, hot, vibrating throwback to 1985 that does nothing well. My mother had one...its lone positive attribute is that small riders can handle it easily. It doesn't even have a fuel gauge.
