2017 Triumph Street Cup Review

2017 Triumph Street Cup on http://www.Totalmotorcycle.com

Thrilling riding experience from the 900cc high-torque Bonneville engine...

THE URBAN SPORTS BONNEVILLE

The Street Cup is a stunning new addition to the Street Family. Born from the stripped back style of the Street Twin, it delivers a stunning street racer attitude, bringing together the minimal bodywork details and contemporary finishes of the Street Twin, with a host of new urban sports features, such as an authentic bullet seat and removable café racer seat cowl.

With dynamic urban sports focused ergonomics, dropped ‘Ace’ bars, dedicated rear suspension and new Nissin twin piston sliding front caliper, the new Street Cup delivers an engaging riding position with smooth and agile handling.

The 900cc high-torque Bonneville engine is perfectly tuned for a blast around town, or escaping it all on twisty B-roads. Wherever you ride you are always accompanied by a raw, rich soundtrack from its shorter, lighter twin upswept satin black and stainless steel silencers.

The sensitive incorporation of rider focused technology, ride-by-wire, switchable traction control, ABS, torque-assist clutch and low seat height, provide an enhanced level of confidence, comfort and control.

Gez, what a sweet looking bike. I really like the yellow one (go figure), but I love the way Triumph tied together the brass elements to give it highlights. Is that a "brass" exhaust?

Gets and awesome vote from me. Looks like how the original Thruxton mashed up with the original Triumph Speed. Very nice!

I'll just bet this is going to end up voted awesome. Ticks all the boxes; classic styling, standard riding position, not too big, middle weight engine size. Could be lighter, could have a bit more power, but you've got the T120 and Thruxton for that (powerwise at least).

I like it. I like other bikes more, such as the MG V9 Roamer which I would like even more with wire spokes.

Cool!

Safe Travels,
Richard

Notes: Triumph knocks it outta the park with the new 2017 Triumph Street Cup design leaving just enough for customizers. One of our members, Grey Thumper says it best: "Ticks all the boxes; classic styling, standard riding position, not too big, middle weight engine size. Could be lighter, could have a bit more power, but you've got the T120 and Thruxton for that (powerwise at least)." ... I'm sure it will be a sales success on the showroom floors as long as it's priced well.

Get excited as the next TMW Cool Wall bike for 2016 is now up for voting and discussion, have fun!
