I really like the Honda but the Kawasaki is my vote. So much more of a useful bike, go to work or across the country on the Kawi.

Honda wins again for me. I've always wondered how something that weighs 690 lbs can be considered a sport-tourer. Makes no sense to me. Battle tank, yes; sport-tourer...... nope.

And it has linked brakes!!! :humm: :disgust:  Really, Kawasaki??? It's not a scooter, fer cryin' out loud!!

So not only does it not beat out the Honda...... I wouldn't even ride one if I won it in a contest.

Honda for this fellow. Just don’t need a tourer.

Trust me, I'm a touring guy at heart and one of my first bikes was a '80 Kawasaki KZ1000 Shaft, but Kawi hasn't changed the styling on the Concorse since... well... forever. Bored to tears with it...
I truly wanted to knock-off the Honda but this bike just couldn't do it. Very close, but missed it by that much Chief:

I think Kawi should have done little or big tweaks through the years on the connie and it would be selling much better. I mean lose some weight, fairing change, cruise control, 1441 engine in it, anything. But instead same bike every year with different color. I would still rather ride the concour though, I like sport tourers that is why I own a fjr. I figure they will possibly drop the concour if the new h2 sx sells well.

I have never had the opportunity to ride a Kawasaki Concours 14 even though the Concours has been around forever. This is the... (4th?) generation of the Concours, amazingly it still carries the same name, that's heritage for you! I have rode a Suzuki Bandit 1250S ABS, Suzuki's previous answer to the Concours and it was a good bike and lighter on it's feet than one might think.

But between these two, my heart goes out to the Honda, even though the Big Green Mean Kawasaki looks awesome with all that plastic wrap. I just don't ride touring style and if I did pick the Concours tourer, I just don't see using it as much over the Honda... maybe I'm too practical? Or maybe not practical enough as the weather protection on the Kawi, storage space and longer riding comfort outweigh the looks and handing of the Honda...
